Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Fulham - Championship Preview and Odds

November 03, 2017 19:45pm - Molineux Stadium

Championship

Wolves will look to consolidate their place at the top of the Championship table when they welcome 16-th ranked Fulham to the Molineux Stadium on Friday night.

Both sides have taken an open and attacking approach to the new campiagn but it is the home side who have been far more effective. They come into this game on the back of a five-game unbeaten run at home that has seen them pick up 13 points from a possible 15.

Nuno`s men have notched up an equal-best tally of 27 goals, while conceding just 15 at the other end and it is this reliability that has helped them dominate the league so far this term. Nine of those goals have come courtesy of in-form Brazilian striker Leo Bonatini.

Fulham have always taken a positive approach under Slavia Jokanovic but it has not always paid off. Unlike Wolves they lack a cutting edge up front and are defensively shaky at times. For all their slick play and high-quality passing in the midfield, their forward and backlines have often let them down.

This has become more apparent in recent weeks as the Londoners have conceded at least one goal in each of the last 10 league games. As a result, they now find themselves languishing in the bottom half of the table with 15 games played.

Betting odds and tips

Leo Bonatini seems to be getting more confident with each week that goes by, having scored six times in the last five league games. As a result, he should be considered in the first or anytime goal scorer markets.

As for the outcome of this game, it is hard to look beyond Wolves. Their only defeat on home soil came against second-ranked Cardiff City and their head-to-head record against Fulham stands at four wins in their last five meetings.

You can back the Home Win at 17/20 and Leo Bonatini to score anytime at 11/8 - both with bet365.
