Out-of-form Middlesbrough will continue their tough battle for survival when they welcome the Premier League`s worst travellers Burnley to the Riverside Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Boro desperate for late season boost

In a desperate attempt to halt their slide into the drop zone, Middlesbrough took the bold decision to dispose of the manager that led them to the top flight last season. But since Aitor Karanka`s departure, things have got even worse for the northeast side.

Steve Agnew`s men are without a win in 13 matches and as a result, they have dropped to 19th in the table, seven points adrift of safety. On home soil, the newly-promoted side have failed to win any of their last 5 matches.

Meanwhile, fellow league newcomers Burnley will look to this game as the perfect opportunity to bag their first away win of the season. The Clarets have lost 12 have drawn just three games away from home this season. However, their strong home form has kept them clear of danger. They come into this game on the back of a 1-0 win at home to Stoke City, a result that lifted them into 14th place with a total of 35 points.

Team news

Fabio da Silva (concussion), George Friend (calf strain) and Calum Chambers (foot injury) will all be missing for the home side, while Gastom Ramirez remains a doubt with a sprained ankle.

Meanwhile, the visitors will have to make do without Johann Gudmundsson (knee), Dean Marney (ACL) and Kevin Long (knee), while Steven Dafour has a dead leg and could also miss out.
