Brighton and Hove Albion vs Everton - Premier League Preview and Odds

October 15, 2017 12:30pm - The American Express Community Stadium

Premier League

Brighton and Hove Albion will look to make it three home wins on the trot when they welcome a struggling Everton side to The American Express Community Stadium on Sunday.

The Seagulls` only home defeat of the season so far came on the opening day against current league leaders Manchester City. Since then, they have beaten West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle on home soil and should carry plenty of confidence going into this game.

The South Coast club have not travelled well so far this term so their home form could be the key to survival, just as it was for Burnley last term. They come into this game on the back of a 2-0 defeat away to Arsenal in which they were by no means embarrassed.

Meanwhile, Everton come into this game having failed to win any of their last 11 away games in the Premier League. They have only scored on goal on the road this term and only Crystal Palace have scored less overall. In their last six away matches against promoted sides, they have drawn five and lost one. As a result, the prospects do not look good for Ronald Koeman`s men.

Last time out, they were beaten 0-1 at home by Burnley, a result that prompted some Everton fans to call for the bosses head. In their defence, they have had a tricky run of fixtures but there have been too many poor performances across all competitions this term for a club of their stature. They have now lost four of their last five Premier League matches and are showing signs of anxiety on the pitch.

Betting odds and tips

Everton need something to calm their nerves and an early goal might do the trick. However, having failed to sign a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, they lack any real threat going forwards and the best they can hope for here is a draw.

With both sides low in the scoring charts, the Under 2.5 goal bet could come into play here.

You can back the draw at 11/5 and Under 2.5 Goals at 8/15 - both with bet365.
