Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League preview and odds

May 18, 2017 19:45pm - King Power Stadium

Premier League

Leicester City will be looking to break back into the Premier League`s top 10 when they play host to second-ranked Tottenham Hotspur at the King Power Stadium on Thursday night.

Two wins in last six for Leicester City

Leicester City can extend their unbeaten home record to six games with a win over Premier League runners-up Tottenham Hotspur. The Foxes got off to a flyer under caretaker boss Craig Shakespeare, winning their first five matches but have since won just two of their last six overall. However, all of their dropped points have come away from home.

Their strong home record may have been influenced by the fact that four of their five wins came against teams currently in the bottom seven. Although, they did pass their only home test against a top-four side, beating Liverpool 3-1 back in February.

Meanwhile, for the second year running Tottenham Hotspur have fallen at the last hurdle in the Premier League title race. Had they beaten Chelsea last month and defeated West Ham a fortnight ago, they would be in pole position for the crown but will have to make do with second place, one better than they achieved last year.

Last time out, Pochettino`s men said farewell to White Hart Lane with a 2-1 win over sixth-ranked Manchester United to finish the season unbeaten on home soil. Away from home, they have won three of the last four and have lost just two of their last nine.

Betting odds and tips

Leicester City have lost just one home game against the top five teams all season and come into this game having won their last five in a row at the King Power Stadium.

Tottenham`s home dominance has overshadowed their patchy away form which has resulted in just seven wins, the worst total of any team in the top six. As a result, Leicester look well priced in this game at a price of 3/1 and the Leicester/Draw Double chance also looks good value at Evens.

You can back Leicester to win at 3/1 with Bet365 or the Leicester/Draw Double Chance at Evens with Ladbrokes.
