Two teams with very different ambitions will go head to head on Sunday lunchtime as mid-table stalwarts Everton host fallen giants Manchester United at Goodison Park.

Everton are still in the hunt for seventh place and the title of Premier League`s best-of-the-rest but the question is: which Toffees side will show up? The one that recently beat Chelsea and Arsenal without conceding or the one that fell to already-relegated Fulham last time out.

The Toffees` last four home games all came against top five teams and yielded two wins, a draw and a defeat with just two goals conceded. That will give them confidence ahead of this game. However, they have not won any of their last nine meetings against their opponents.

Meanwhile, Manchester United still have their sights on a top-four finish and can move into fourth, on a temporary basis at least, with a win on Sunday.

The Red Devils will need to pick themselves up after being dumped out of the Champions League by Barcelona in midweek. That was their fifth defeat in their last seven matches and has prompted questions about the long-term contract handed to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Away from home, they have lost their last four in a row in all competitions and their last two in the Premier League. That poor form, combined with Everton`s good home form against the top six, makes it hard to make a convincing case for the visitors.
