Swansea City vs West Bromwich Albion - Premier League preview and odds

May 21, 2017 15:00pm - Liberty Stadium

Premier League

Having secured their Premier League status with a with at Sunderland last time out, Swansea City will look to give their fans further reason to celebrate when they welcome mid-table regulars West Bromwich Albion to the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.

Swans in party mood

When Fernando Llorente bagged an early goal at Sunderland last week, there was huge sense of relief amongst Swansea City fans. By the time the final whistle went, with the score at 2-0 and Premier League continuance confirmed, the celebrations began in earnest.

That game completed a run of four games of which the Swans won three and drew one to haul themselves out of the drop zone at the most crucial stage of the campaign. Those wins also came with three clean sheets.

On home soil, Paul Clement’s men have won five of their last seven matches, a draw against Middlesbrough and a loss to Tottenham Hotspur their only dropped points during that spell.

Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion will arrive in Wales having lost six of their last seven matches. They are without an away win in 2017 and last won a home match over two months ago. Yet despite their poor form, the Baggie are still sat in ninth place in the table. What’e more, Tony Pulis’ men have yet to win a game against bottom-seven opposition this term.
