Champions League Preview and Odds - Porto vs Juventus

February 22, 2017 19:45pm - Estádio Do Dragao

Referee: F.Brych

Champions League - Knockout Stage

Two of Europe`s most in-form teams will go head-to-head on Wednesday night as Porto welcome Juventus to the Estádio Do Dragao in the Champions League Round of 16.

Porto unbeaten at home this season

Porto have not lost a home match in any competition since a 1-3 league defeat to Sporting last April. The Portuguese side have won their last six matches in a row and have lost just one of their last 17 in total.

In this year`s Champions League, their only defeat come away from home at Leicester City (1-0) - however, they responded by inflicting a 5-0 defeat on the English club in the reverse fixture.

Nuno`s men last faced an Italian side back in August when they met Roma in the qualifying stages of this event. On that occasion, they played out a 1-1 draw on home soil before prevailing 3-0 in Rome. Meanwhile, 2015 finalists Juventus will arrive in Portugal on the back of a seven-game winning streak.

They remained unbeaten during the group stages of this tournament and won all three of their away matches.

Remarkably, the Italian league leaders have not drawn a domestic match in over a year, having won 32 and lost five of their last 37 matches. In addition, they have scored at least one goal in each of their last 22 matches in all compeitions.

Team news

The home side will have to make do without the injured Otavio but otherwise have no significant injury concerns.

Meanwhile, the visitors will have to cope without the injured trio of Giorgio Chiellini (right thigh), Andrea Barzagli (thigh) and Miralem Pjanic (left ankle).

Betting odds and tips

Both sides are in good form and this should be another fascinating game. Porto have lost just one of their last 14 home matches in the Champions League and have beaten the likes of Bayern Munch, Chelsea, Athletic Club and Leicester City in that time. Juventus have won their last three Champions League away matches in a row but managed just one win in six prior to that.

This should be a close game but both teams can be expected to get on the score sheet. For extra value, you can also back Gonzalo Higuain in the anytime goalscorer market.

You can back Both Teams to Score at 21/20 and Gonzalo Higuain to score Anytime at 6/4 with Bet365
