Day three of Royal Ascot kicks off with the Norfolk Stakes, a Group 2 race open to two-year-olds. The Mark Johnston-trained Cardsharp is one of the most experienced in the field and has performed well against some quality opposition. The trainer does has previous in this race having guided Russian Valour to victory way back in 2003. Given his credentials, he looks a decent price at 14/1.

American trainer Wesley Ward bagged a more recent winner here when No Nay Never posted a second-ever fastest time in this event back in 2013. His entry Mcerin was third when favourite last time out but can be expected to improve on this surface.

Havana Grey has shown some stunning pace in previous outings at Ayr and Sandown, the latter against a decent looking field including Windsor Castle Stakes winner Sound And Silence and fellow competitor here Frozen Angel. He has progressed well in every race and will enjoy the conditions here.

Frozen Angel was a length back in that race at Sandown and may have done better with a smoother run. And for that reason many may feel tempted to back Tom Dascombe`s runner to exact revenge this time out. His course and distance knowledge could also work in his favour.
