AFC Bournemouth vs Manchester City - Premier League Preview and Odds

August 26, 2017 12:30pm - Vitality Stadium

Premier League

AFC Bournemouth will look to kick start their season when they welcome title favourites Manchester City to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

The Cherries put on another disappointing display when slumping to their second defeat in a row at home to Watford last week. They have yet to find the net this season and must now take on one of the strongest teams in the league.

Eddie Howe`s men created just two clear shots on goal during their last outing and are likely to find chances hard to come bay once again this weekend. With the visitors likely to dominate possession, we might see a more defensive approach from the young English boss.

Man City enjoyed plenty of success on the road last season, winning all but two of their away games and losing just once.

The Citizens were excellent on their travels against the lower-ranked teams last term and will be looking for more of the same this season.

They have already notched up a win at Brighton and were dominant in their home draw against Everton in which they had to come from a goal behind with just 10 men following Kyle Walkers dismissal.

Pep Guardiola will forced to make changes with the absence of Walker but his side should still be expected to come away with all three points.

Betting odds and tips

Whatever approach Bournemouth take it will be a tough afternoon for the South Coast side. The visitors are strong in this type of fixture and have kept six clean sheets in their last nine away matches. As a result, the win to nil bet looks tempting here.

You can back Manchester City to win to nil at 6/5 with Bet365.
