Everton will be looking to win back-to-back Premier League games for the first time this season when they welcome mid-table neighbours Stoke City to Merseyside on Monday.

Everton grab last gasp winner

Everton have won just three Premier League games since the end of September, and all of those triumphs came against the current bottom three. They now have a chance to beat a mid-table side - and record consecutive wins for the first time this term - when Stoke visit Goodison Park on Monday.

Last time out, the Toffees scored with virtually the last touch of the game to grab all three points away to Newcastle. It was the first victory in five matches for Roberto Martinez`s men.

Stoke strong on the road

Stoke City gave their home record a boost by overcoming Manchester United on Boxing Day. They will now be looking to continue their good away form when they make the short journey north to face Everton.

The two sides are both stuck in mid-table with a total of 26 points, however, the Merseyside team have a much better goal difference. A win on Monday could lift the Potters into the top half of the table. They have lost just one of their last six Premier League away games, and have lost a total of just two matches on the road all season.

Team news

Everton are still without Phil Jagielka, Tony Hibbert and Bryan Oviedo, while Steven Naismith and James McCarthy should be available.

Meanwhile, Glenn Whelan has joined Marc Muniesa, Shay Given, Peter Crouch and Stephen Ireland in the Stoke treatment room.
