Premier League preview and odds: West Brom vs Tottenham Hotspur

December 5, 2015 15:00pm - The Hawthorns

Premier League

Steady West Brom will look to extend their unbeaten Premier League run to three games when they welcome hard-to-beat Tottenham to the Midlands on Saturday.

Average start for Baggies

After stuttering in their first four home games, West Brom have now picked up six points from their last three games at the Hawthorns. As a result, they now sit in 13th place in the table, eight points clear of the drop zone and seven points short of the first European qualification place.

Despite their improved home form, it is on the road where the Baggies have accumulated the bulk of their points this term (11 of 18). Barring a remarkable change of form, Tony Pulis’ men look set to spend the season jostling for the mid-table positions.

In their last match, they held West Ham to a 1-1 draw in London, prior to that they grabbed their biggest scalp of the season so far when they defeated Arsenal 2-1 at home.

Tottenham at top of form table

Tottenham have rarely been mentioned as title challengers this season but with each game that passes, they edge ever closer to the top four positions. In fact, no team has picked up more points than Spurs over the last 10 Premier League games.

Spurs have not lost since the opening day of the season and have recorded six victories and seven draws in the 13 games since. Only Manchester United have conceded fewer goals than Mauricio Pochettino’s men. They come into this game on the back of a 0-0 draw at home to Chelsea.

Team news

Tony Pulis has a full strength team to choose from for this game. Meanwhile, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will have to make do without Ryan Mason.
