Tournament favourites Borussia Dortmund will face Premier League title challengers Tottenham Hotspur on home soil in the first leg of this Europa League Round of 16 tie.
Dortmund unbeaten in 11 matches
Borussia Dortmund are enjoying a great run of form coming into this match. The German side have not been beaten in any of their last 11 matches in all competitions, and have lost one of their last 16 matches on home soil.
In their most recent game, Thomas Tuchel`s men held league leaders Bayern Munich to a 0-0 draw on home soil. As a result, they are currently occupying second place in the Bundesliga, 14 points clear of third-ranked Hertha Berlin.
They have won six of their last seven home games in this competition including a 2-0 win over Porto in the last round.
Spurs with one eye on the league title
Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as surprise contenders for the Premier League title in England but are still 12/1 fourth favourites to win the Europa League. With the domestic league their priority, progress in this competition may just be bonus for the North London team.
With a second leg at White Hart Lane to come, a draw in this Europa League Round of 16 tie would be a good result for the English club. As a result, they may adopt a more cautious approach.
The Londoners have won just one of their last six away games in the Europa League (at Qarabag), having lost three and drawn the other two. In the last round, they held Fiorentina to a 1-1 draw away, before finishing them off 3-0 at home.
The are coming into this game on the back of a 2-2 draw in the North London derby game against Arsenal.
