Can Willie Mullins make it eight in a row by leading yet another mare to victory this year`s OLBG Mares Hurdle?
After training Quevega to six consecutive victories between 2009 and 2014, the Irishman continued his run with Glens Melody last year. With Annie Power taken out of the equation, Vroum Vroum Mag will be sure to attract the bulk of the punters money ahead of this race.
The mare has yet to lose a race under Mullins` guidance, including the last two over hurdles after previously winning six events over fences. The prolific trainer has also has Gitane Du Berlais competing in this event but she is much less fancied.
It won`t be straightforward for the favourite, as last year`s runner-up Polly Peachum will be attempting to end her career on high after a showing good form in recent months.
For those hunting some Each-Way value, look no further than last year`s third-placed horse Bitofapuzzle. Following 2015`s narrow defeat, the eight-year-old was running impeccably until she unseated her rider and then pulled up over fences earlier this year. As a result, she has now made the switch back to hurdles and could be in the mix once again.
