Espanyol will try and halt their rapid descent towards the drop zone on Saturday when they welcome draw specialists Deportivo La Coruna to Estadi Cornellà-El Prat in La Liga.

One win in 12 for Espanyol

Espanyol have the worst form in La Liga over the last 10 games, and could soon find themselves occupying the relegation zone. With just five points from a possible 30 over that period, the signs are not good for the team from Barcelona. Their last win came against notoriously bad travellers La Palmas back in December (1-0).

They come into this game on the back of an eight-game winless streak - in their last game, they fell 2-1 away to Valencia, to hand Gary Neville his first league win in charge of Los Che.

Depor looking to break drawing habit.

Deportivo La Coruna have only lost two of their last 15 La Liga games, yet they have not won any of their last eight. The Galicians club`s skewed statistics have come courtesy of a prolific drawing streak. In total, they have drawn 14 games this season, including their last five in a row. On the road they have drawn four of the last five, with the only exception being the 5-0 defeat at Real Madrid.

The most recent of their five straight score draws came at home to Real Betis (2-2). Víctor Sánchez will be hoping that his side can break that cycle with a win over the league`s worst form team.

The home side will be without Cañas, Arbilla, Pérez and Arlauskis, who are all out injured.

Meanwhile, the visitors will be without the injured Fabri.
