A draw at Old Trafford on Sunday kept Liverpool`s title destiny in their own hands, but their lead over Manchester City at the top of the table was reduced to just a point. The Reds will look to keep one step ahead of their rivals with a win on home soil on Wednesday night. Out to frustrate them will be a Watford side focused on securing a seventh-place finish.

It has been a frustrating few weeks for the Reds. On one hand, they have only been defeated once all season and are still top of the table. On the other, a run of three draws in four matches has left them with the slimmest of margins over the reigning champions.

Jurgen Klopp`s men started brightly against Manchester United on Sunday, but a lack of composure in the final third meant they never looked like scoring. The sight of Roberto Firmino leaving Old Trafford on crutches also left a bitter taste for fans of the Merseyside club.

The good news is, they are unbeaten in their last 34 Premier League home matches and only Manchester City and Leicester City have come away from Anfield with a point this season.

Meanwhile, Watford continue to impress in their quest to be recognised as the best of the rest in the Premier League. With the top six all-but sewn up, Javi Gracias men are in pole position to grabbed seventh place. However, Wolverhampton Wanderers are hot on their heels with only goal difference separating the two.

The Hertfordshire side have lost just two of their last 12 matches, both against top-six teams. Last time out, they strolled to a 5-1 victory at Cardiff City, outclassing their opponents in every area of the pitch. Away from home, they have lost just one if their last seven (away to Tottenham Hotspur). However, they have lost five and drawn one of their last six matches against Liverpool.
