Premier League preview and odds: Tottenham Hotspur vs Swansea

February 28, 2016 15:05pm - White Hart Lane

Premier League

Can Tottenham continue their steady march towards the top of the Premier League at White Hart Lane on Sunday, or will Swansea pull off a shock result as they scramble for survival?

Spurs unbeaten in five

While other teams have failed to take the initiative in the title trace, Spurs have steadily raised their level throughout the season, and now look as likely as anyone to bag the crown.

Mauricio Pochettino`s men have won their last five Premier League matches in a row, and now sit in second place just two points behind leaders Leicester City heading into this weekend`s games. They have lost just three games all season and also have the best goal difference stats in the league.

Last time out, the Londoners cruised past Italian side Fiorentina in the Europa League, prior to that, they claimed a 2-1 victory away to title rivals Manchester City.

Swans far from safe

Swansea currently have a three-point cushion over the relegation zone, and also have the advantage of a superior goal difference over their closest rivals. However, the threat of relegation is still looming large over the Liberty Stadium.

In their last game, the Swans were beaten for the first time in four matches when they fell 1-0 at home to Southampton. Away from home, they are unbeaten in two games having drawn 1-1 at West Brom and won 2-1 at Everton. The win at Goodison Park was only their second triumph on the road this season.

Team news

The home side will be without Moussa Dembele, Tom Carroll, Jan Vertonghen and Clinto N`Jie, while Harry Kane is a slight doubt.

Meanwhile, the visitors have a fully-fit squad to choose from.
