Frankfurt is located in the German state of Hesse. It ranks as the fifth largest city in Germany with a population of over 700,000. Frankfurt is a major epicentre for finance and transport. It is also a hub for culture, tourism, education, trade fairs, festivals, opera houses and museums.

Frankfurt provides plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants. Techno and trance music was nurtured here in the 80s and the city’s nightclubs have continued to influence the Euro-music scene since the turn of the millennium.

Frankfurt’s gambling industry is equally strong. The Airport Casino Frankfurt provides travellers with 78 slot machines and three gaming tables featuring Blackjack and American Roulette. The minimum age required for play is 18 years old and a boarding pass and valid ID must also be shown to partake in gambling activities.

There are two entertainment companies monopolizing the city’s gambling scene, one of which is known as “Casino Merkur-Spielothek”. Both are a part of the Gauselmann Group, a family-owned business which progressed to producing their own games machines. In fact, Casino Merkur-Spielothek provides games machines for venues all over Frankfurt. The other company who dominate Frankfurt’s gambling scene is a German-owned business called “Storm International”. They operate two Storm-branded Casinos in the city.

Both casinos are modern in style with plush carpets, modern bright interiors and bespoke furnishings. The establishments offer 50 slot machines each, featuring electronic poker and roulette, traditional slot machines and games. The casinos also have Wi-Fi areas, coffee bars and lounge areas.

The suburb of Niederrad is located just outside of the city of Frankfurt. Here, eager punters can find the Frankfurt Racecourse. The left-handed thoroughbred horseracing track is known for being flat and narrow. A race book is also hosted on site to make betting easy and accessible for visitors.
