Premier League preview and odds: West Ham United vs Swansea City

May 07 , 2016 15:00pm - Boleyn Ground

Premier League

West Ham will continue in their quest to secure a European qualification place when they welcome a Swansea side aiming for a mid-table finish to the Boleyn Ground on Saturday.

Euro dream still alive for Hammers

West Ham`s dream of hosting European football at their new stadium next season may still alive, but they will have to rely on other teams slipping up to achieve their goal.

The Hammers are just a point behind Manchester United with just three games left to play and five points behind Manchester City with a game in hand. If either of those teams falter, the Londoners could be in a position to pounce if they win all their remaining games.

They come into this match on the back of a convincing 3-0 win away to West Bromwich Albion. On home soil, they have not been beaten since the opening day of the season.

Swans looking to finish on a high note

After securing their top-flight status for yet another season, Swansea City will now be aiming to finish as high up the Premier League table as possible. The Welsh club are currently sat in 13th place with a total of 43 points and still have an outside chance of making it into the Premier League`s top 10.

The Swans come into this game on the back of an easy 3-1 victory over a second-string Liverpool side. Away from home, they have won just one of their last seven and have not won any of their last four, having lost three and drawn the other.

Team news

Carl Jenkinson (ACL Knee Injury) will be out of action for the home side.

Meanwhile, the visitors will be hindered by the absence of Leroy Fer and Alberto Paloschi.
