Andalucian rivals Granada a Malaga will go head-to-head on Friday night with both clubs chasing very different objectives.

Granada keen to avoid final day drama

Last season, Granada had to wait until after the final whistle of the final game to discover their La Liga fate. This season, the Andalucian club are dreaming of a drama-free final day.

Since new boss Jose Gonzalez arrived at the club, they have adopted a steelier attitude and have found a way of grinding out results. In fact, El Graná have lost just one of the six games they have played under their new coach.

On home soil, they are currently unbeaten in three, having beaten Sporting Gijon and then drawn against Espanyol and Rayo Vallecano.

Malaga eyeing European qualification place

Malaga still have an outside chance of grabbing a European qualification spot - however, they will need to overcome am eight point deficit to their rivals.

Los Boquerones have lost just two of their last 10 league games, having won four and drawn the other four. Away from home, they are unbeaten in three and have also lost just two of their last 10. In their last game, they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Espanyol.

Team news

The home side may have to cope without the injured trio of Ruben Rochina, Ricardo Costa and Edgar Mendez.

Meanwhile, the visitors have Juan Carlos, Roque Santa Cruz, Arthur Boka and Carlos Kameni all on the side-lines.
