Brighton & Hove Albion FC vs West Bromwich Albion FC - Premier League Preview and Odds

September 09, 2017 15:00pm - The American Express Community Stadium

Premier League

Having picked up their first point of the season away to Watford in the last round of matches, Brighton and Hove Albion will now try to snatch some points away from a rejuvenated West Bromwich Albion side when the two teams meet at the American Express Community Stadium on Saturday.

The South Coast side had a tough start to life back in the top flight having suffered back-to-back 2-0 defeats at home to Manchester City and away to Leicester City. As a result, the draw at Watford brought a collective sigh of relief at the club while lifting them out of the bottom three. Chris Hughton`s men must now take on a team that has yet to be beaten in the current campaign.

West Bromwich Albion are now such an established Premier League side that a top 10 finish now seems like the benchmark for Tony Pulis and his men. They hit that target last year and will hoping to make further progress this term. They got off to the perfect start, winning their opening two games at home to Bournemouth and away to Burnley - by predictable 1-0 scorelines. Last time out, they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Stoke City.

As a result of their leap out of the blocks, the Baggies are currently sat in fifth place and will be hoping to stay in touch with the top four with a win here. The addition of Krychowiak, Burke and Gibbs will certainly help their cause and they look great value at 15/8.

Betting odds and tips

West Brom are on a roll and have strengthened well in the transfer window. They have already recorded two 1-0 wins this term and this game could be settled by an equally tight scoreline.

You can back West Brom to win at 15/8 and a correct score of West Brom 1-0 at 13/2 - both with Bet365. For added cover, the West Brom 2-1 result should also be considered at 12/1.
