La Liga preview and odds: Barcelona vs Granada

January 09, 2016 15:00pm - Camp Nou

La Liga

Barcelona can keep the pressure on league leaders Atletico Madrid on Saturday with a win over 17th-ranked Granada at the Camp Nou in La Liga.

Barca looking to bounce back from derby draw

After three draws in their last four games, Barcelona have failed to take the initiative in the title race but can still go top for a temporary period with a win on Saturday. The Catalan club are just two points behind the leaders and still have a game in hand.

Last time out in the league, they came away with a point from a very physical encounter away to city rivals Espanyol before beating the same side at home in the midweek Cop del Rey game. Luis Enrique’s men have not been beaten at home in the league since February.

Granada

Granada are currently ranked 17th in La Liga and look destined to be involved in another relegation battle. With just two points separating the Andalucian side and the drop zone, a defeat this weekend could see them sink back into the bottom three.

They come into this game on the back of an impressive 2-1 win at home to regional rivals Sevilla, which marked their second victory in the last four games and their fourth overall this term. Unfortunately, they followed up that win with a 4-0 Copa del Rey loss in Valencia.

Team news

Barcelona could be without Sergi Roberto, who is recovering from a knock, and Rafinha who is out long term.

Meanwhile, Granada are still without the injured Piti.

Betting odds and tips

Barcelona are totally dominant on home soil having won eight of their nine league games at the Camp Nou this season. Their only slip up was a 2-2 draw against seventh-ranked Deportivo La Coruna. The home side have won by three goals or more at home five times this season. You can back that outcome at 4/9 with Skybet.

You can also back over 3.5 goals at the same price with Bet365. That result has paid out in six of Barca`s nine home games in La Liga so far.
