Premier League preview and odds: AFC Bournemouth vs West Ham United

January 12, 2016 19:45pm - Vitality Stadium

Premier League

Bournemouth will be looking to move a step closer towards the mid-table comfort zone on Tuesday night when they welcome a West Ham side who are unbeaten in seven games to the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth on target for survival

With just one defeat (away to league leaders Arsenal) in their last eight matches, Bournemouth have given themselves a fighting chance of retaining their Premier League status this term.

Last time out, they held second-ranked Leicester City to a 0-0 draw away from home to take their overall point’s tally to 21. Despite their good form, the Cherries have only won one of their last six matches at home and remain just four points above the drop zone.

Hammers unbeaten in seven

Despite losing some of their most influential players through injury, West Ham still managed to make it through the last seven matches without a single defeat. A run of five straight draws was followed by impressive wins at home to fellow top-six hopefuls Southampton and Liverpool.

The Hammers injury crisis has now eased slightly and they will now go looking for the first away win since October. Their last three road trips have all ended in draws, the most recent being a 1-1 stalemate at Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

Team news

Bournemouth could welcome back Josh King, but Callum Wilson, Tommy Elphick, Max Gradel and Tyrone Mings are all still missing.

Meanwhile, Slaven Bilic is hoping that Winston Reid will be available after recovering from a hamstring issue. However, the Hammer’s boss will still have to make do without Manuel Lanzini, Victor Moses and Diafra Sakho.
