Stoke City vs Arsenal - Premier League preview and odds

May 13, 2017 17:30pm - Bet365 Stadium

Premier League

After a poor run of form, Stoke City will look to finish the season on a high when they take on top four chasing Arsenal at the Bet365 Stadium.

Win for Gunners would keep pressure on rivals

Having finished in ninth-place for the last three seasons, Stoke City will be keen to at least match that benchmark this time round. After a run of four straight defeats, the Potters have rallied slightly with a win and two draws in their last four matches.

Last time out, they twice let an advantage slip at Bournemouth, a result that left them in 13th place in the table. Prior to that, they were held 0-0 at home by West Ham United. With just one win in their last nine and no wins against teams in the current top 12, the prospects do not look good for Mark Hughes men.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are on a roll having won four of their last five matches to put themselves back into contention for a place in the top four. However, they must still rely on either Man City or Liverpool slipping up to stand any chance of breaking into that elite group.

The Gunners` away record does not make pretty reading with two wins and five defeats in their last seven games. However, both of those victories came in their last three games on the road following a change of approach from manager Arsene Wenger.

Betting odds and tips

The Londoners` more effective style of play has resulted in fewer goals, with less than 2.5 in each of their last four. This combined with Stoke`s own low goal scoring count makes this particular option tempting once again.

You can back Under 2.5 Goals at 13/10 with Bet365.
