Watford vs Arsenal - Premier League Preview and Odds

October 14, 2017 17:30pm - Anfield Stadium

Premier League

Watford will look to continue their strong start to the season when they host an Arsenal side who are unbeaten in their last four Premier League matches. The Hertfordshire club were ranked amongst the relegation candidates before a ball had been kicked this season but under the guidance of Marco Silva, they already look more like a top-10 side.

It hasn`t been all plain sailing for the Hornets who were hit for six at home by a rampant Manchester City side. However, that remains their only league defeat of the season, having also won three and drawn three. All three of their victories came on the road so they will be keen to get a home win under their belts. They almost got the better of Liverpool in a 3-3 thriller on the opening day, so facing Arsenal should not be too much of a daunting task. However, Silva`s men have conceded nine goals in the three home games that they have played this season so they will need to improve in that area if they are to fulfil their top-10 ambitions.

Meanwhile, Arsenal come into this game in good form having not conceded a goal since their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool. Since then, they have won three and drawn one in the league including a well-earned point away to reigning champions Chelsea. In all competitions they have won six and drawn one of their last seven, easing the pressure on highly-scrutinised boss Arsene Wenger.

New signing Alexandre Lacazette has played a big part in their turnaround, bagging four goals in seven games, making him a good choice in the goal scoring markets.
