Squouoater and Mall Dini will head off neck and neck in the betting thanks to their strong connections but there are plenty of others in contention for this one. With the going expected to be heavy again after more rain on the course, it is worth looking for those who might thrive under those conditions.
The first obvious horse to tick that box is Band of Blood, who looks to be in good shape after returning from a lengthy lay-off. A comfortable win in a strong field at Exeter was followed by another impressive run at Doncaster. What`s more, he has some festival experience under his belt having featured in the 2015 Ultima Handicap where he was hampered early on and finished eighth on much firmer ground.
Another good stayer in Millanisi Boy who should be of great interest to each-way punters with prices as high as 25/1 available at time of writing. He might not be the quickest or most talented horse in the field on paper, but under tough conditions, the nine-year-old should not be ruled out of a place.
