AFC Bournemouth vs Arsenal - Premier League Preview and Odds

November 25, 2018 13:30pm - Vitality Stadium

Premier League

Two teams in the hunt for European places will go head to head on Sunday as eight-ranked AFC Bournemouth welcome fifth-ranked Arsenal to the South Coast.

Bournemouth can leapfrog both Manchester United and Everton and move to within a point of arsenal with a win on Sunday lunchtime. Eddie Howe’s men were keeping pace with the Gunners until back-to-back defeats at home to Manchester United and away to Newcastle some them slip down the table.

The Cherries are enjoying their fourth-straight season of top-flight football and had their best ever start this term. Their steady progress has drawn plenty of admirers and Howe has already been linked with moves to both Arsenal and Manchester United. But after six-straight years at the helm (nine in total) he seems intent of staying put for the foreseeable future.

The defeat to Manchester United was Bouremouth`s only home defeat of the season. They will look to bounce back after falling 2-1 at Newcastle last time out.

Meanwhile, Arsenal hope to get back to winning ways after three draws in their last three outings. They shared the points with Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers at home either side of a goalless Europa League draw, also at home, to Sporting.

Unai Emery`s men have only lost once on the road in the league this term, a 3-2 defeat at Chelsea back in August. However, they were held 2-2 at Crystal Palace on their last road trip. A win this weekend would move them to within a point of Chelsea who lost at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Betting odds and tips

Bournemouth are strong at home and beat the Gunners the last time they visited the South Coast. Both sides look stronger than when they last met and this should be another close encounter. Based on current form the draw looks the best bet.

You can back the Draw at 14/5.
