Roma vs Chelsea - Champions League Group Stage

October 31, 2017 19:45pm - Stadio Olimpico

Champions League Group Stage

Roma will be keen to keep their Champions League qualification campaign on track by taking points from Group C leaders Chelsea. The visitors themselves could pull five points clear at the top of the table with a win in Rome.

The home side have been in decent form this season having kept themselves above Atletico Madrid in their Champions League group while maintaining the pace in the race for the top four places in Italy. Perhaps their most impressive performance of the season came when these two side met just a few weeks ago in London. On that occasion, Eusebio Di Francesco`s men came from two goals down to take a 3-2 lead before being pegged back to 3-3 in what was a thrilling encounter. Neutrals will be hoping for something similar here.

Since then, I Giallorossi have won three-straight league games over Torino, Crotone, and Bologna, all by 1-0 scorelines. A win on Tuesday night would move them to the top of their group with two games left to play.

Chelsea also arrive here on the back of three straight wins including a 1-0 win at AFC Bournemouth last time out. Three of their last nine fixtures have featured over 2.5 goals and four of those produced four or more. Despite their reputation for being solid at the back, the Blues have only kept two clean sheets from six matches on the road this term.

Betting odds and tips

With the frequent strike rate of both sides, it is very likely that both teams will score and the over 2.5 goals bet should also come into play. While, Edin Dzeko will be well-backed in the goal scorer markets after netting twice in the first game. Overall, the striker has scored 10 goals in all competitions this term.

You can back Both Teams to Score at 8/15, Over 2.5 Goals at 4/6 and Edin Dzeko to Score Anytime at 5/6, all with bet365.
