Liverpool vs Brighton and Hove Albion - Premier League Preview and Odds

November 30, 2019 15:00pm - Anfield (Liverpool)

Premier League

Liverpool last lost a Premier League home match on April 23, 2017. Since then they have won 36 and drawn 10. And they have won their last 13 in a row since being held 1-1 by Leicester City back in January. It is an incredible record and won that they will keen to keep going as they look to keep a comfortable distance between themselves and their title rivals.

The Reds may have expected to be involved in a two-horse race with Manchester City this term but Leicester City and Chelsea have also emerged as genuine challengers. However, Jurgen Klopp`s men have opened up an eight-point gap to their nearest challengers and remain in pole position to secure their first league title in 30 years.

Fabinho will be missing having suffered ankle ligament damage in the midweek draw with Napoli but the Anfield club have enough strength in depth to deal with his absence. Either Jordan Henderson or Gini Wijnaldum can be expected to deputise for the Brazilian.

Meanwhile, Brighton and Hove Albion will look to avoid a third-straight defeat when they make the trip to the northwest on Saturday. After impressive home wins over Everton and Norwich City, they fell away from home to Manchester United and at home to Leicester City last time out.

Despite their two-game winless run, they remain five points clear of the drop zone and just four points behind fifth-ranked Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Graham Potter`s men have won just once on the road this season (at Watford) but did take a point from Arsenal at the Emirates. Their last two games against Liverpool both ended in 1-0 defeats. Prior to that, they conceded 15 in three games to Klopp`s men.

Betting odds and tips

Liverpool`s Premier League home record in devastating and the Seagulls have shown little suggest they can be the team to finally stop the red machine on their own turf. However, the hosts have conceded one goal in each of their last six home games, so it may be worth backing the visitors to get on the score sheet.

You can back Liverpool to Win and Both Teams to Score at 6/4.
